I found out some FABULOUS news last week!  I'm gonna be a Grandma for the FIRST time!!!!!

Although my daughter isn't due until July, the news has me whirling so I'm now thinking BABY THINGS (lol)  And what a perfect time to create something a little different than what you normally see at Five Star Fonts -

I stitched a set of samples in classic baby blue gingham with a little added touch of minkie.  Not sure if I know something my daughter doesn't (LOL) but I'm feeling baby blue right now (but we won't find out for sure for a few more months so you might see new samples in Pink later..... 

Use your imagination and stitch them in more modern fabrics and colors (easy to coordinate with any color scheme):

Stitch them as freestanding designs, add a ribbon and they make the sweetest little wall hangings!

I just love those little fishies!  The 4x4 size is perfect for tiny hands and multi sizes (5x7 and 6x10) will be perfect as baby grows!

Did you happen to notice the finishing stitches on these designs?  I really wanted something a little different than just the ordinary satin stitch so these are finished in a unique and fun outline.  Not to mention this fun finishing stitch takes about 1/3 the time to stitch than satin and it is really unique and cute! 

 But not to worry, if you prefer satin stitch outlines, those files are also included in this extra large package which contains 33 design files!

  A dear friend suggested that I make simple pockets to applique to a "travel" blankie (when baby comes to visit Grandma LOL), for instant portability of your Simply Baby Snuggly Toys!  I've also included instructions (with lots of pictures) for adding short ribbons with snaps that go inside the pockets.  Snap your snuggly toys to the ribbon, stash in the pockets, never lose a Snuggly!  Of course, you don't have to use ribbons and snaps or even the pockets.
