This design was a labor of love.  Addison, my grand daughter turns one year old in June and since she loves cupcakes I wanted to make an extra special bib for her!

5x7 Hoop  - Bib Size - Newborn to about 6 months:

** Actual finished bib size is 6 7/8 x 9 1/4  (measurement excludes neck strap) 

** MINIMUM hoop size required to make this size bib is 130 x 180

The flag bib is displayed on a 6 month mannequin.   Use your favorite themed fabric for an adorable look - I just love the stars and stripes - perfect for July 4th picnics!

6x10 Hoop - Bib Size -  12 months:

** Actual finished bib size is 9 1/2 x 11 1/2  (measurement excludes neck strap) 

** MINIMUM hoop size required to make the 12 month bib is 150 x 240

The pink cupcake bib is displayed on a 12 month size mannequin.  Did you notice the ric rac stitches on the cupcake bottom - very sweet!

7x12 Hoop - Bib Size - Toddler:

 ** Actual finished bib size is 11 1/2 x 13 1/2 (measurement excludes neck strap) 

** MINIMUM hoop size required to make the Toddler bib is 180 x 300

The pink and green bib is shown on a 3-4T mannequin.  So many options with fun fabrics.  Make a sophisticated bib using modern fabric like the pink and green Heather Bailey fabric I used on the top of the cupcake.  Very boutique!

I think it also helps to see the bibs next to purchased bibs so you can really get an idea of what a nice size these really are.

I couldn't find the actual size of the lilac bib below but I believe it is a toddler bib or very close to it:

  The bib is made in 2 separate hoopings and is super easy to make. Hooping 1 creates one part of the bib and stitches quick (and easy).  Hooping  2 utilizes the part you create in hooping 1 and finishes everything leaving just a small opening to whip stitch closed.  There is no extra sewing required except for the whip stitching to close one opening!  This is a very easy project, perfect for beginners. 

And if you don't like the ribbon strap with snaps, I've also included instructions for making fabric ties like I used on this sweet turquoise bib.  And oh, did I mention the cupcake bottom comes in both ric rac and satin stitch decorative lines:
